Level I
Getting to Know Jesus
The Level I atrium caters to children from 3 to 6 years old.
The youngest children are open to wonder on the mysteries of our faith. The atrium’s aims to introduce Jesus/// so they can form a relationship.
Some of the themes presented to the children:
The love and care of Jesus through the Parable of the Good Shepherd
His birth and life through Geography work and the Infancy Narratives
The “secrets” of the Kingdom of God told through the Kingdom Parables
Jesus’ death and resurrection through observation of Lent and Baptism works
How He is still with us at Mass and in the Church through the Eucharistic works
Level II
Moral Formation, Timelines & First Holy Communion Preparation
Children move to the Level II atrium at around six years old and stay there until they are nine.
At this stage, the child starts to develop a sense of justice. Works with a moral theme like the Maxims and the parables of the Good Samaritan, the True Vine and the Forgiving Father (also known as the Prodigal Son) are introduced. The older children would have also developed a stable concept of time so the works on timelines of salvation history (the History of the Kingdom of God) are then offered to them.
Level Two works prepare the child to respond to an invitation to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist for the first time.
Level III
The Fullness of the Kingdom of God
For children from 9 to 12 years old
Spiral method – go deeper into LII works hence True Vine
